Château Divon

From beyond the Stars,
Ad Astra' transcends.

Situated in the lieu-dit Divon, on the pied-de-la-côte of the Saint-Georges Saint-Émilion appellation, Château Divon has been in the Beguin/Andrieu family since 1667.
Surrounded by vineyards of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this tiny estate covers 4ha.
Pierre Mirande, owner and winemaker at Château La Rose Côtes Rol in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, took over management of the estate in 2013 after the passing of the owner’s father. The name of the Cuveé ‘Ad Astra’ is Pierre’s tribute to the late man, and the label a nod to father and son.

This well structured and soft wine is to be enjoyed, with family and friends. As life can be short this is a Bordeaux for the now, to sip, to savour and to be shared.

Tasting Notes

Supple blackberry, dried cherry, plum and cassis. Plenty of spice on the nose, smoke, black pepper, tobacco and green pepper too. Velvet tannins, soft, round and earthy.
