Château
Haut-Bessac

From between the rivers Garonne and
Dordogne in Entre-Deux-Mers comes
Château Haut-Bessac to their Canadian family.

The Glotin family has been producing wines in Entre-Deux-Mers since 1930, when they acquired XXVIIIth century Château Goudichaud. One of the first female winemakers, Henriette Glotin, devoted herself passionately to her family domaine. Sprawled over 120 ha of vineyards, forests and grasslands, this family estate is protected by nature evolving with respect for the terroir.

Today, her grandson Yves runs Goudichaud in the same spirit of respect for the traditions that followed before, now producing 5 labels of very great wine. Haut-Bessac, their first label, produces wines of finesse that are accessible to everyone. The blanc is a perfect blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, distinguishing itself with floral aromas and citrus fruit. It is an easy wine, crisp and voluptuous, a modern day Entre-Deux-Mers.

The rouge, coming from the terroir of the highest plateau, blends Merlot and Cabernet balancing both fruit and spice. Whether enticed by the sea or captivated by the forest…your choice of colour of Haut-Bessac will transport you with each glass.
